Once again I am way behind in my blog so I will update the statistics to June 2007. In May our Multiple Listing Service changed their statistics and will now be reporting for only the Tucson metropolitan area and not the outlying areas such as Benson, Oracle, etc… See the footnotes below the graph for some further explanation.The statistics will vary as in most cases those areas no longer included, have a lower real estate value and longer days on market. Start watching from May on as these will be better statistics for Tucson Metro. Days on market are still up and keep in mind as a listing expires, and is re-listed, it starts over, so our average will stay in the 65 day area. If you added in the days that combined before a property actually sold, it would be up closer to 100 days or better in today’s market. Showings are way down!!! Interest rates are about 6.75% right now. Still good if you remember the 9%+ days!!!!
